Albemarle Europe - MSDS management system
Albemarle is a worldwide producer of speciality chemicals. Working closely with an international project team from Albemarle Conseq's consultant team produced a detailed functional specification to confirm the exact requirement, and implemented Conseq's Lotus Notes based MSDS solution.
On time and in budget
Communication between the remote members of the project team was successfully managed remotely using Lotus Sametime and periodic on-site meetings leading to an implementation that was both on schedule and within the agreed budget.
Support for the global business
Documents must be despatched in the language of the customer receiving shipment, which in Albemarle Europe's case could be anywhere in Europe, the Middle East or Africa. Conseq's system handles both multiple languages and multiple character sets. The system includes an interface to SAP for receiving details of new customer orders and exporting details of MSDS produced.

| Conseq met the requirements AND the target dates. The Conseq staff was very professional, and worked very hard to meet the demanding requirements. I really appreciated their diligence, technical competence, and commitment to making our project a big success. |

Customer focused and secure
Increasing numbers of Albemarle's customers receive MSDS via email. It was therefore important that documents be easily and securely distributable.
To cope with this requirement, the system uses an XML framework to extract and convert content directly from the native Notes documents into PDF files. Use of PDF also enables customers and partners easy access the MSDS via a web interface.
